The dark fiber provider for the DCX OTN has a planned maintenance that will be impactful to the DCX OTN south route. They have indicated that during the change window, it is expected that services will be be impacted for up 4 hours during the maintenance window. If you have services that currently utilize the DCX OTN south path, it is advised to fail traffic to another non-impacted route during the change window.

Service has been restored. The previously mentioned planned maintenance window is now in effect. While no further impact is expected, potential exists through the end of the maintenance window for additional interruptions as detailed in the planned maintenance.

IDENTIFIED

A planned fiber maintenance that was originally scheduled for 12am tonight by the dark fiber provider was rescheduled to start at 10pm but a notification of the reschedule was not communicated to DCX. The maintenance was planned for full disruption of the south path for up to 4 hours. The fiber provider is currently working to prioritize DCX fibers to restore service as soon as possible.

The provider has completed repairs to the impacted fiber and service has been restored. The provider has indicated that a change unrelated to DCX is still underway until 6am MST at which point the provider will be completely hands off. The provider expects no further impact to the DCX segment. DCX will continue to monitor until the provider change window has expired.
