The dark fiber provider has communicated that they have completed their maintenance thus no further impact related to this even should occur. Continuing to monitor.

The dark fiber provider indicated there was a planned maintenance that should not have been impactful to DCX dark fibers but inadvertently has. It has been relayed to DCX that the maintenance ran into unforeseen issues which has resulted in work extending past their maintenance window extending the timeframe for potential impact to DCX. Current ETA until completion is approximately 12:30pm MST.

The DCX OTN south path has shown intermittent loss of light on the south path since approximately 4:40am MST resulting in flapping of any circuits occupying this path.

Disruption was due to inadvertent damage done to DCX fibers within a splice case as technicians were working on resolving another network event originating from referenced case. Service has remained stable and dark fiber provider has indicated that all technicians are hands off.
